interpack 2026 is enhanced by numerous specials that highlight technological developments and new approaches.
The Start-up Zone brings together 22 young companies from eight countries. Their solutions range from bio-based and recyclable materials and reusable systems to software platforms for PPWR compliance, serialization, and AI-based operations management, as well as new approaches in process technology.
The co-located trade show components puts the spotlight on the supplier industry’s expertise. Visitors can explore solutions in drive technology, control systems, sensor technology, robotics, machine parts, and industrial software.
Under the SAVE FOOD banner, interpack addresses the prevention of food waste and losses. In expert talks, international organizations, companies, and initiatives present concrete approaches along the entire value chain. The program is complemented by design awards, sustainability design awards, and the SAVE FOOD project competition, where initiatives can receive financial support. Along the Highlight Route, companies showcase technologies, products, and services aimed at reducing food losses.
The Women in Packaging event targets women at all career stages. It brings together international experts and offers inspiration, peer-level exchange, and practical impulses for individual career paths.
Young Talents Day is aimed specifically at trainees, students, and career starters. Tours, career formats, and interactive offerings provide insights into technologies and professional profiles within the industry. Formats such as the VDMA Technology Lounge demonstrate in practical terms how sustainability, AI, and production interact.
In addition, the WorldStar Global Packaging Awards will be presented at the exhibition grounds—international honors recognizing outstanding innovations, technologies, and sustainable designs in the packaging industry.
